Yeah, i kinda like it, old school feel to it, like the Cleveland Browns

I could easily see going to far in the opposite direction and coming up with something entirely too clever or complicated, just trying too hard to come up with something when nothing's really there to come up with. Let it be Washington Football Team, heck soccer clubs do it eg Manchester United, just the name of the city (guessing "united" means they got all the best players in the city from different local teams back in the day)
